“I’m Of God Because I Gained A Blessing!” No You’re Not

One of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned with a loud voice glorifying God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. Jesus said, “Were not the ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Were there not any found to return and give glory to God except this foreigner?” Then He said to him, “Rise, go your way. Your faith has made you well. Luke 17:15-17 MEV

Don’t get it twisted, when you receive blessings from God it doesn’t mean that you are of God. Anyone can receive a blessing from God: the person can be a liar, evil, old, young, a Muslim, a Hindu, Black, Asian, White etc… but as long as they demonstrate faith in the Words and promises of God, and take actions to acquire it, by God’s own righteousness to not lie and fulfill His Word, He will bless that person.

Think about it, how times were you or someone you know, who at the time of receiving their blessing from God, living in sin? Yet, they still received their answer from God. Just have another read of the verses at the beginning of this post.

It’s irrational to based that “a person is of God” when they receive a blessing. The truth is, a person is of God based on their character, their spiritual life & loyalty to obeying God.

It’s more than just prayers and conquering blessings; it’s all about the person’s character & actions. Ask yourself the following:

“If I was to lose everything that I hold dear to me in a matter of days, would I still remain with God or complain and leave God?”

“If I was to never get married, have children or gain something I really want, would I still value and be loyal to God?”

“When my flesh is desiring to do what is wrong or i’m being tempted, am I falling for it and making excuses or resisting to please and obey my God?

Many people are distracted in the world; their focus and strength needs to be on being saved, converted and receiving the Holy Spirit.

Christians need to seek God, seek understanding His will & seek to receive the Holy Spirit with the same intensity they use for the things they value the most here on earth i.e. Status, A Degree, Work, Loved ones, Money etc…

Don’t you agree?

3 Paramount Steps To Gain Salvation: #1 Conversion

in-audit-path-to-indas-conversion2-noexp

Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 MEV

What does the word ‘convert’ mean? The Google definition is as followed: change the form, character, or function of something. A synonym that I really think sums up the biblical sense of the word convert is the word ‘metamorphose’.

Conversion is not just attending some church services during the week, being a nice person, reading your bible, casting out demons or using your faith to conquer blessings. The disciples of Jesus did all of that, especially Peter and they were still not converted. His actions on the night of Jesus’ arrest proved that he was still an angry and violent man.

Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like little children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3 MEV

Father and son

Many believers thinks they are converted, but the harsh truth is that they are not. To be converted isn’t a label you place on yourself just because you made a prayer in church and felt good afterwards; it’s a conscious decision, it’s a way of living you life from that moment on.

The individual decides when they want to be converted, it’s something exclusively down to them, NOT GOD. Many lazy believers are waiting for God to convert them, but that won’t happen because that’s not His job.

Real conversion involves repentance and making changes to live a life of faith in obedience to God’s word. A paramount part of this is to confess in detail, who you really are, what your struggles are and what’s in your life that is against God’s will; and it’s because of this that most believers fail at the first hurdle.

They overlook true repentance because it is hard to look deep down at themselves and confess that they need help in changing their ways. It’s always easier to make only make slight improvements to their character, and then shy away from the hard and long work of changing the sinful ways and bad habits for good.

Therefore, bear fruit worthy of repentance. Matthew 3:8 MEV

Believer! you shouldn’t ask God to change your heart without first taking actions to change. You need to start repenting your sinful ways, take actions daily and once you run up against difficulties, then ask for God’s help. When a person is truly converted, other people, especially those who are of God, notice the change.

I pray you heard God’s voice and will act upon His guidance, in Jesus name.

How To Be A Blessed Person

IFWT_blessed-site-cap-1

Hello Reader =D I Bet Your Wonder What Amazing Advice I Have For U To Become A Blessed Person, Init? Well, Read On…

I was meditating on the book of Psalms, and while going through Psalm 1 and 2, so clearly, so plainly and blatantly, we are taught how to be a blessed person.

In Psalms 1, verse 1 tells us the first attribute of a blessed person, which is:

  • A blessed person does not take advice & keep counsel (or in modern terms, mingle and indulge) with those who consciously live in sin.

Now, before the super righteous start to criticize and say, “but Jesus was amongst sinners”, yes this is very true and as a Christian it is our duty to be amongst sinners to preach the Gospel, but of course, the Lord Jesus did not get involved with the sinful act they were doing.

something-for-everyone-jesus-with-sinners

Verse 2 give us the next point on how to be a blessed person:

  • A blessed person meditates on the Word of God (the Bible) day and night.

Everyday, we have to read, and in this day and age, people spend a lot of time read up on their social media outlets, gossip, news sports etc… However, how many Christians and even believers are guilty of not meditating on their Bible daily? I will put my hand up and even say that I have been guilty of this.

Reading about sports, people’s statuses and tweets were more of a priority to me in the past and is to many people nowadays. By not prioritizing the Word of God, we are excluding ourselves from being blessed people, because the more you know the Word of God, the more you’ll know and understand God, also you’ll be more equip to overcome the devil, problems, setbacks, temptations and injustices daily.

And finally, Psalm 2, verse 12 tells us that:

  • A blessed person is the one who trusts in God

Easier said than done of course, but if you ask anyone who has seen God’s power in their life, and experience the impossible, they will all tell you that they had to put trust in God for them to receive their answer, especially when trails, persecutions and tribulations came.

And there you have it, now will you decide to be a blessed person or ignore the direction?

I Hope Not. God Bless

The Book Of Ecclesiastes

Ecclesiastes

MAAAATTTTTEEEEE! Hope Your Good, I Have Been Meditating On The Book Of Ecclesiastes Recently & I Wanted To Share With You Some Verses…

I want to understand to God who I believed created all that is in existent. My desire is to live my life to the fullest and die a man who can say i did everything I needed and wanted to do.

I refuse to live regretting that I didn’t do this or that, I choose daily to rebuke and resist the fears and doubts that come to me, and choose to embrace and act upon my faith and work towards achieving my dreams.

The book of Ecclesiastes was written by the wisest man to have ever live, King Solomon. He wrote the book of Proverbs and Songs of Solomon also, If you haven’t already read them, I advise you to. Take your take while reading these books, as we say in the Christian faith, there’s a difference between reading the bible and meditating on it.

The reason I advise this is that with nearly every 1-3 verse, a powerful message (that could be turned into an hour long university lecture) is prevalent, and if your just reading it, you may miss it. The advice in these verses can provoke a complete change in your mentality and character, it’s that deep!

Here’s a verse that have really made me think, I hope you can catch the Spirit of it and apply yourself accordingly:

That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done,And there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, “See, this is new”? It has already been in ancient times before us. There is no remembrance of former things, Nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come By those who will come after. Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 NKJV

Think about this. God Bless =]

The 10 Values Of Faith || #9 Self-Respect

values_1

Allo Reader! This is the penultimate value. I hope you have been blessed and encouraged by these posts…

To be in faith is to be sincere with yourself, God and others, especially when it comes to acknowledging your mistakes or asking for help.

To put in to perspective, to be in faith is to eliminate the feelings of fear, doubts, angers, grudge, worries etc… and hold tight onto courage, belief, happiness, forgiveness and certainty. It’s easier said than done but it is possible, just ask anyone who is successful in their respective field of work.

So relating it to God, always remember what it says in the Holy Bible:

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

Faith has everything to do with reason, with emotions following behind (not leading, but following). We have learnt that the 1st attribute of faith is A Good Conscience, the 2nd attribute is Honesty, the 3rd attribute is Justice, the 4th attribute is Truth, the 5th attribute is Sincerity, the 6th attribute is Faithfulness, the 7th attribute is Honour and the 8th attribute is Discipline.

Onto the next value, it is none other than:

9. SELF-RESPECT

esteembutton

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:20 NKJV

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 NKJV

Let’s have a look at the definition of self-respect:

  1. Pride and confidence in oneself; a feeling that one is behaving with honour and dignity – Google
  2. proper sense of one’s own dignity and integrity – The Free Dictionary

When you look around, at the world we now live in, we can clearly see that self-respect is depreciating everyday. I’m not old, but I can remember a time in which people weren’t so willing to do anything and everything for a bit of attention, money, pleasure and “15mins” of fame.

I believe every human being has the desire to be respected in some shape or form by friends, family and strangers, but not every person goes about gaining this respect in the appropriate and morally accepted way.

I’m not here to point out if what you choose to do, the way you choose to act or dress and the way you choose to speak is immoral or not, your conscious does that for you, but i’m here to let you know that, you were bought at a price. When you choose to use your head and show in you actions some self-respect, even though the majority of the world is choosing to show a lack of it, you are pleasing God by using your faith.

It’s easy to be reckless and follow your deceiving, selfish and unpredictable heart, ESPECIALLY NOWADAYS.

In reality, you may get respect from your peers, colleagues, friends, social media and family (most probably because they are practicing lack of self-respect) but you will never get it from God.

The question is, who’s respect is more important to you, mans’ respect or Gods’ respect?

He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. Matthew 10:37-38 NKJV

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 1 John 2:15-16 NKJV

Good Evening Mate! And I’m Back Again With Another Attribute Of Faith. I Hope From These Series Of Posts, You Are Actually Using Ur Faith In God & To Achieve Ur Goals. If Not, Start Right After This Post…

If you haven’t got it from the title already, the 8th attribute is:

8. DISCIPLINE

self-discipline

He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. Proverbs 16:32 NKJV

To be disciplined is a conscious decision and act. It requires the person to ignore the screaming noise of the heart and listen to the quiet but assertive voice of the mind. It demands the person to fight against the pressure of the feelings at that moment and think about the rational route.

We have all experienced a moment in life when we had to decide to either be disciplined or reckless, and unfortunately, the majority of us (including myself) chose to be reckless and irrational. King Solomon, inspired by the Holy Spirit, tell us that the person with self discipline is greater than the mighty.

Why is that? because it’s easy to be reckless and irrational, it’s easy to live by how we feel. It’s hard to think when the pressures of the heart activates, it’s hard not to feed those feelings. However, if you can resist and decide to be disciplined, your are living by faith, and through that, pleasing God.

Rule & subdue your heart; or else you’ll be a slave to it and be no different to an animal. Discipline is the bridge between goal and accomplishment.

Hello Faithful Readers, I Bless Your New Week In Jesus Name, Amen! Now Have A Read Of This…

We have learnt that the 1st attribute of faith is A Good Conscience, the 2nd attribute is Honesty, the 3rd attribute is Justice, the 4th attribute is Truth, the 5th attribute is Sincerity and the 6th attribute is Faithfulness. I wonder what the 7th attribute is:

7. HONOUR

honour

“for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.” 1 Samuel 2:30 NKJV

I started this whole series to inform and help believers and Christians please God, and we have found out that to please God, we must use faith. To give honour God and people requires faith, as faith is intelligent, not emotional.

Honour entails a lot of attributes itself e.g. love, respect, dedication, trust, grace etc… As a true Christians, it is our duty to honour God and people alike. Look what the Holy Spirit said through the apostle Peter:

Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. 1 Peter 2:17 NKJV

And if that isn’t enough, look what the Lord Jesus said for us to do, which sums up how honour is an attribute of faith:

Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39 NKJV

Honour and love are one in the same, love is not an emotion, it is a decision. I hope your understanding.

The 10 Values Of Faith || #6 Faithful

values_1

Hello Faithful Readers, Hope You’re Being Blessed By This Series Of Posts. Let’s Continue & Learn About The 6th Attribute…

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

Faith has everything to do with reason, with emotions following behind (not leading, but following). We have learnt that the 1st attribute of faith is A Good Conscience, the 2nd attribute is Honesty, the 3rd attribute is Justice, the 4th attribute is Truth and the 5th attribute is Sincerity. Number 6 is:

6. FAITHFUL

kanji_faithful

His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Matthew 25:21 NKJV

It wouldn’t make sense if faithfulness wasn’t an attribute of faith, would it? After all, it has the word faith in the word. If you look around, at the world we are currently living in, faithfulness is something that is very rare unfortunately.

It seems as times goes on, it’s losing more and more of it’s value in people’s daily acts. You can ask even your parents or older relatives and friends, if people were so unfaithful when they were younger, and most definetly their answers will be NO!

So what has happened to (when you think about it) this essential attribute of any relationship? Well, both the Lord Jesus and the Apostle Paul, when speaking about the end times said by the Holy Spirit:

And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. Matthew 24:12 NKJV

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be LOVERS OF THEMESELVES, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, TRAITORS, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 2 Timothy 3:1-5 NKJV

Honestly, it can be hard to want to be faithful when we live in a anti faithful world. The easy option of course is to follow the crowd, but in doing this, you won’t be pleasing God, only the devil.

Being faithful means staying loyal to what you said you would do, long after the mood and circumstances you said it in goes away.

When it comes to your relationship with God and anyone else, remaining faithful is never an option, but is your priority, it’s justice. Loyalty is everything.

The 10 Values Of Faith || #5 Sincerity

values_1

Allo Allo Allo =] I’m Back Again With Another Value Of Faith, I Hope This Series Has Been Enlightening U All…

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

Faith has everything to do with reason, with emotions following behind (not leading, but following). We have learnt that the 1st attribute of faith is A Good Conscience, the 2nd attribute is Honesty, the 3rd attribute being Justice and the 4th attribute being Truth.

And now the 5th attribute is:

5. SINCERITY

abstract sincerity key drawn with chalk on blackboard

Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! Joshua 24:14 NKJV

Sincerity is a key attribute of faith. It take a lot of courage and strength to not put on a front (especially nowadays) but be transparent with God, yourself and people in general.

The majority of people nowadays are trying so hard to portray themselves as “perfect” on social media, to family, friends, colleagues etc… that they forget that no one can and will be perfect.

“I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:10 NKJV

You may be able to deceive people for awhile (keyword AWHILE) but you cannot deceive yourself, and especially not God who knows your inner most feelings and thoughts.

And just like the Lord Jesus said:

For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8:17 NKJV

When a person is sincere, it is very hard for anyone and the devil to embarrass or accuse them, as they are transparent. Why not use your reason and please God by being sincere with yourself, with Him and with people.

Good Day Mate =D So The Values Of Faith Series Continues. Here’s The 4th Value…

Faith has everything to do with reason, with emotions following behind (not leading, but following). We have learnt that the 1st attribute of faith is A Good Conscience, the 2nd attribute is Honesty and the 3rd attribute being Justice. If you haven’t already guessed from the title of this post, the 4th attribute is as followed:

4. TRUTH

TruthHasNoAgenda

Lying lips are an abomination to the LordBut those who deal truthfully are His delight. Proverbs 12:22 NKJV

I’ll be the first to admit that I use to lie a lot, as a child, mainly to get out of trouble with my mum and as a teenager, mainly to get things by deceiving. But in modern day, Who doesn’t lie, right? Who doesn’t commit a white lie every now and again, right? As long as it isn’t hurting anyone, what’s the big deal right?

WRONG!

The truth is, God has nothing to do with lies and everything to do with the truth. Many people, even so called “Christians” lie daily?

When you think about it, to be truthful requires faith because it’s so easy to just lie. Some may even say “what the point of being truthful, especially nowadays, as a lot of people don’t like hearing the truth?”. Lying deviates people from the truth which is a moral injustice in itself.

As the bible verse says, those who are truthful are God’s delight; in other words, you are pleasing God. To be in faith is to use our reason, and whether or not it mean you will get into trouble or not, whether or not the person will be happy with you after what you tell them the truth or not, think about which eternal being you will be pleasing, the Lord Jesus or the devil?

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life. John 14:6 NKJV

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” John 8:44 NKJV
