The Blame Game In A Relationship

When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasing to the eyes and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave to her husband with her, and he ate, […] Then they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Genesis 3:6 & 8 MEV

God has given everyone FREE WILL. In a relationship, people make different choices on how they deal with problems, setbacks, losses etc… The relationship’s success or failure, is an outcome of these various decisions.

Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” Genesis 3:11-12 MEV

When an issue arises in a relationship, it very easy to start pointing fingers, blame other people and start denouncing any ownership of contributing towards the issue, just like how Adam did. Why? because it’s the easiest thing to do in those moments, the emotional thing to do. No one wants to feel like they are at fault and feel like a failure.

Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What have you done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Genesis 3:13 MEV

In addition to that, many people, when problems arise in their relationship, out of emotions tend to go and do something even more silly, and are quick to say, “It’s all our fault!” or “If you hadn’t said that, I wouldn’t have done it!”. They do what Eve did.

In reality, that person cannot blame their partner or anything as the reason for making that bad decision, even if it contributed to it, because that person has FREE WILL and can never be forced to do anything.

Everyone must take responsibility for their decisions, the good ones and especially, the bad ones. When we blame people, you will never move forward, this is because you are putting your responsibility, of solving the issue, in someone else’s hands.

One more thing: You & I have no exclusive power over what others decide to do, only on what we decide to do. ALWAYS remember this.

Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. I John 4:8 MEV

How can you expect to have a successful relationship with someone but don’t include God? He is LOVE, that’s like making a chocolate cake without using chocolate.

I pray you heard God’s voice and will act upon His guidance, in Jesus name.

Faulty Disciples & Hypocrites

Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. Then Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?” John 18:10-11 MEV

In the world today, we have many hypocrites, in difference walks of life; in addition to that, we also have what I call faulty disciples.

Now in regards to the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, unfortunately, as we are in the end times, it reeks the smell of HYPOCRITES, who unconsciously and even consciously exude the anti-Christ spirit, just like the Pharisees, Scribes & Sadducees of the past. However, we also have a large number of faulty disciples who exude the spirit of the Apostles before they received the Holy Spirit (and even after they received it).

Let me teach you the great difference between a faulty disciple & a hypocrite:

(1) The faulty disciple can be naive at times, immature and too emotional, in a nutshell, far from ideal. They will make many mistakes, some small and others huge, and maybe tread on a few toes in the process. However, they are sincere in their desire to glorify God through their character and testimony; they are also humble to listen to correction, they meditate on their Bible and have a great zeal to improve. Though they are not the finished product, they are a work in progress.

(2) The hypocrites rashly and without thought call Christ their Master, yet they betray him to the devil/the world through their actions, words & thoughts. They can at times express great affection for Him by reading their bible, fasting, going to church from time to time, or even going before the altar and making a beautiful prayer. They may use their faith and achieve certain things, because Jesus is a rewarder of faith in action and may even have a title or some form of status because they have worked very hard ‘for God’.

But like I said earlier, they exude the spirit of the anti-Christ, and to any real Christian, they are nothing but pagans. The real Christian could even try and help them via advice or a rebuke but they will quickly get shut down, because those hypocrites are so blinded by their real father, the devil. Read John 8:39-47

He told this parable to some who trusted in themselves, as though they were righteous, and despised others: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed these things about himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men: extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week, and I tithe of all that I earn.’ But the tax collector, standing at a distance, would not even lift his eyes to heaven, but struck his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner.’ “I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.Luke 18:9-14 MEV

ONE MORE THING: Reader, I consider myself a faulty disciple who is daily improving and striving to be the best servant of God I can be in this world. With all sincerity, examine yourself, and come the conclusion, who are, a faulty disciple or a hypocrite?

Examine yourselves, seeing whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not know that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. II Corinthians 13:5 MEV

I pray you heard God’s voice and will act upon His guidance, in Jesus name.

God’s Dream Through You Is Big!

But as it is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” I Corinthians 2:9 MEV

The dream God placed inside of all of us is a lot bigger than what we think we can comprehend. God has given us a dream, HOWEVER, have you been trustworthy with it? Look at Joseph, God revealed a dream to him, even while things got worse, Joseph NEVER left God, he was faithful and held on tight and steadfast to the dream God gave him.

I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service of worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭MEV‬‬

ATTENTION Reader! We need to prove ourselves worthy and trustworthy to God to be able to achieve His dream through us. Let us break down these verses:

  1. We must present our body to God as a living sacrifice – Obedient to our faith and ready to surrender even when it hurts.
  2. Holy, not perfect! – How can God bless us when we’re willingly polluting ourselves with the things of the world?
  3. Acceptable to God – Doing things properly, with diligence, not anyhow.
  4. Do not be conformed to this world Don’t follow the ways of the flesh and the world by accepting it’s principles as the right way.
  5. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind Striving to be spiritually cleansed from unclean spirits and then striving to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

All these steps can only be taken when you decide to take them, not when you feel like it. To decide to take these step requires what I called Sacrificial Faith!

ONE MORE THING: Be very careful not to get God’s dream through you and the devil/your flesh’s dream through you mixed up.

I pray you heard God’s voice and will act upon His guidance, in Jesus name.

Love Is One Thing; Passion Is Another!

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I have become as sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. If I give all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing. I Corinthians 13:1-3 MEV

When you hear the word Passion, what do you associate it with? Likewise, when you hear the word Love, what do you associate it with? In my opinion, I associate the word Passion with the Heart & I associate the word Love with the Mind.

The initial part of a relationship has a lot to do with passion, and very little to do with love. If the relationship progresses in a good way, the relationship moves towards more love and less passion, more rational decision making, and less emotional decision making. An ideal relationship will aim for the balance between the two.

Love suffers long and is kind; love envies not; love flaunts not itself and is not puffed up,  does not behave itself improperly, seeks not its own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;  rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. I Corinthians 13:4-7 MEV

  • Love is patient; Passion rushes things.
  • Love trusts; Passion is jealous.
  • Love is humble; Passion is arrogant.
  • Love forgives; Passion is resentful – Rule #1 of forgiving is to not bring up the past issues.
  • Love cares; Passion despises.
  • Love doesn’t end; Passion is short lived.

Love never fails. I Corinthians 13:8 MEV

If you want to build a relationship based on passion, you can go ahead, however, it will not stand. Passion is like a drug, it has a strong effect for a short period but the moment after, when reality kicks in, emptiness abounds. You’ll end up constantly searching for a new high or an exciting new relationship.

One more thing: In the early stage of any relationship, DO NOT be too fast to express yourself fully, as passion is the predominant factor at this stage.

The Repentance Barrier

Many good and sincere people want to return to their first love of their faith in Jesus, but they haven’t been able to because of the repentance barrier, which requires an act of conscious sacrifice. They are often deceived by a feeling of remorse. However, repentance involves actions that have nothing to do with feelings of remorse.

Remorse howls of pain, but does not abandon sin.

Sometimes the heart pretends and deceives. It causes its victim to think they’ve repented because of the sadness they for the sin committed. At that moment, they cry, swear and promises never to do it again; but the sooner or sometimes later, there they are again, indulging in that sin. Pure deception

Truth is, if you depend on a feeling to repent, there will never be true repentance, which will be accompanied by God’s forgiveness and salvation.

THINK & Meditate on the following verses:

Therefore, bear fruit worthy of repentance. Matthew 3:8 MEV

Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place – unless you repent. Revelation 2.5 NKJV

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 MEV

May God give you understanding and strength to take actions immediately, in Jesus name, Amen.

Just Like Judas

“Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said to them, “What will you give me if I hand Him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. From that moment he searched for an opportunity to betray Him.” Matthew 26:14-16 MEV

After meditating on these verses, it’s so easy to get the regular thoughts about Judas Iscariot: “Judas was a traitor”, “What a loser!”, “I HATE insincere, lying and snakish people like Judas!” or “How could he be with Jesus for 3 years and still betray Him? I couldn’t/wouldn’t do that!”.

But what came to my mind was this question: Seriously, WHY did Judas, after being with Jesus for 3 years, seeing all the miracles and listening to all the teachings, still end up betraying Jesus?

3D man near red question mark

Then after much thought, it dawned upon me, Judas Iscariot was never ever really interested in understanding and knowing Jesus for salvation, even though he was with him more or less everyday for 3 years. His main priority was always his interest in MONEY.

The bible doesn’t give us an account, but i’m sure somewhere in Judas’ life, he fell in love with money and it became his IDOL. The authority, benefits and pleasures it brings to a person in this world, brainwashed him so much that it convinced him, it was the most important thing ever. So much so that he was in the presence of the creator of everything (including currency), for 3 years and he still didn’t use his mind to seek to know, understand and realize how much more profitable it is to have salvation – a true relationship with Jesus.

As the verses tells us, he sought out the chief priests, not the other way round. WHY? because as humans, we seek out the things we value the most. This suggest to me that his purpose of being with Jesus for all those years were not for the right reasons.

He was with Jesus for 3 years and still after all he saw, his IDOL, which was money, when it was offered to him, he chose over Jesus(salvation); how foolish.

The questions is: How many people are doing EXACTLY what Judas did all those years ago, today?

They have been going to church for years, but they still haven’t made a sincere effort to seek to know, understand and realize how important it is to have a true relationship with the creator of all things?

Instead their heart and mind’s priority is on their IDOL, whatever it may be. And because they are distracted, salvation is right in their face, the opportunity to be saved in presented to them weekly, daily in fact but they can’t see its value. The truth is, they don’t want to see it, they only care about their IDOL.They are committing spiritual suicide.

Dear reader, be honest with yourself, are you committing spiritual suicide? Will you end up like Judas?
