Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life. John 6:47-48 NKJV
We need to believe. We need to trust; in fact, we need to show our trust.
When we are going through a tribulation, of course we will FEEL weak, emotional and at times worried, but it doesn’t mean the we should obey our feelings, the suggestion of the flesh/weaknesses, and please the devil. We need to depend on our FAITH in God’s words, which has everything to do with being rational.
If we allow our feelings to takeover our intelligence, we will end up losing.
God is TRUE; therefore we need to depend on His words above all. The word ‘Believe’ is more deep than most think. Belief is a verb!
For example, I prove that I believe in HSBC bank protecting my money, because if I didn’t believe in them, I wouldn’t have given them all my personal details and money. I can’t say I believe in something but I’m not actively showing my belief through actions.
Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world. John 6:49-51 NKJV
We are all sure about one thing, we will one day die; but not everyone is sure where they will go after. Not all Christians will go to heaven, not all Pastors will go to heaven and not all believers will go to heaven.
When we believe in Jesus, which is to obey Him, we will have true life here on earth, one day die and then go to heaven to rest for all eternity.
