MUSCLEMANIA #4 || Same Tools; Different Goals

Bodybuilders, Powerlifters, Weightlifters and Fitness Freaks all use the same tool, Weights and Resistance Machines, but we all have different goals.

Bodybuilders – They use progressive resistance exercise to control and develop one’s musculature, there sport in competitive amateur and professional bodybuilding appear in lineups doing specified poses, and later perform individual posing routines, for a panel of judges who rank competitors based on criteria such as symmetry, muscularity, and conditioning.

Bodybuilders are not too concerned about the weight they are lifting, their main goal is to contract and stretch the muscle in order to grow. Bodybuilder need TIME UNDER TENSION, Good Form, Reps, Pump the muscles full of blood, a clean diet etc… Bodybuilders are strong but not as strong as Weightlifters & Powerlifters.

This is what i’m all about =D

Weightlifters – They are athletes who attempts a maximum-weight single lift of a barbell loaded with weight plates which are called the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk. Properly executed, the snatch and the clean and jerk are both dynamic and explosive while appearing graceful, especially when viewed from a recording at a slowed speed.

In comparison with other strength sports, which test limit strength (with or without lifting aids), weightlifting tests aspects of human ballistic limits (explosive strength) and are therefore executed faster—and with more mobility and a greater range of motion during their execution – than other lifts.

Powerlifters – They are all about building strength, there sport consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. They are the guys you see in the gym lifting monstrous weights, they are not concerned about looking good like bodybuilders, their sole aim is to be stronger then the next man.  Supportive equipment is used to increase the weight lifted in powerlifting exercises and they aim for less reps than bodybuilders.

Those who want to become professionals aspire to be in Strongman competitions, this is a sport which tests competitors’ strength in a variety of different ways.

Fitness Freaks – They are athletes who want to do a bit of everything. Any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. It is performed for various reasons including strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular system, honing athletic skills, weight loss or maintenance, as well as for the purpose of enjoyment.

The general look for a fitness freaks varies, you have some who are lean(Ectomorph), some are muscular(Mesomorph) and some are big(Endomorph).

When you enter the gym, you must know what your there to achieve. Don’t waste time lifting monstrous weights when your main goal is to become super fit, in addition to that, don’t waste your time doing cardio exercises and lifting light weights when you want to build a muscular body. Make sure you do your research before making a workout for yourself.

The 3 Sieves || Advice For Gossipers

A man runs up to Socrates with information he thought the philosopher would like to hear:

– Let me tell you something about one of your friends!

– Wait a minute – said Socrates – Before you tell me, have you sifted this information through the three sieves?

The three sieves? What do you mean?

– Let’s sift through what you want to tell me. We should always use the three sieves. If you do not know them, then pay close attention. The first is the sieve of TRUTH. Are you sure that what you want to tell me is true?

– Well, it’s what I overheard. I’m not exactly sure if it’s true.

– The second is the sieve of GOODNESS. Surely, you must have sifted this information through the sieve of goodness. Right?

Embarrassed, the man replied:

– I must confess that I did not.

– The third is the sieve of USEFULNESS. Did you really consider whether or not this information about my friend is useful?

– Useful? Actually, no, I did not.

So the wise man said – If what you want to tell me is not truegood or useful, then it’s better that you keep it to yourself.

Moral of the story: Next time a rumor develops, sift it through the three sieves: Truth, Goodness and Usefulness, before submitting to your urges and passing it on.

“Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.” Proverbs 21.23 NKJV

No One Inherits Eternal Life

The reason why we see so many unsuccessful Christians is because they wish to inherit eternal life. These are two mistakes that can never be committed by those who want the seal of the Holy Spirit and eternal life: The first mistake is to WISH.

We know there is a big difference between WANTING and WISHING. Those who WANT do whatever is necessary to succeed; they rise to the top of the mountain and surrender everything and everyone to call God’s attention; while those who WISH, only do what they feel like doing.

The second mistake is wishing to INHERIT the Kingdom of Heaven.

See what the rich young ruler asked Jesus: “Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” Mark 10.17

‘Inherit’ means to take or receive by succession or will, as an heir.

He was rich, yet he was still young. Therefore, how had he achieved all of his richness? Surely, he inherited it from his parents. He had not worked and sacrificed to be rich, he had just inherited the wealth from his family; and it is only fair that he also ask the Lord Jesus how to INHERIT eternal life.

But, in this case, obtaining eternal life would not be as easy. If he ‘wished’ for something so precious, he would also have to surrender everything he had.

Eternal life, the new birth and the baptism with the Holy Spirit cannot be inherited. If so, all of the bishops’ and pastors’ children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren… would be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. But we know that this is not the case. And why not?

“…the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. ” Matthew 11.12

Therefore, after reminding him of the obedience to the Lord Jesus, and because He LOVED him, He said: “One thing you lack: go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow me.” Mark 10.21

Notice how Jesus asked him for everything he had, because He LOVED him, and He knew very well that if he did not surrender the things that occupied his heart, he would not inherit eternal life; but unfortunately, that young man was so attached to his material wealth that he sadly decided to walk away from the presence of the Lord Jesus.

Never do this! Nothing in this world was, is or will be more important than our eternal life.

God bless you!

The devil Wants You To Waste Time

An old Jewish legend says that one day Satan sat with his subordinates to elaborate a way to destroy the meaning of life in people’s minds.

— “Tell them God doesn’t exist,” suggested one demon.

— “Make them believe there’s no consequence to their actions,” said another.

— “Tell them they strayed too far from the right path and that they won’t be able to go back, because people don’t change.” a third proposed.

— “No,” said Satan. “This is what I’m going to do. I’m simply going to make them believe there’s plenty of time left.”

Have you heard that voice before? “There’s plenty of time.” “I know I have to change, but not now.” “Later on I’ll do something about it, first let me enjoy life.”

There’s no better time than the present to do what is right.

The future is never here. Any progress can only happen in the present. Now is the only time when every and any progress can be made.

The majority of those who are now in their grave would have liked more time. But everyone, without any exceptions, wastes their time with futile things.

The one thing in your life that you will never have too much of, is time.

Use it wisely, NOW!!  You never know when it’s your time

So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 NKJV

The Intention In Your Heart

“I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.” (Jeremiah 17:10 NKJV)

What is going to define your life is the intention in your heart.

One can present to God offerings, sacrifices, prayers and fasting. Yet, if the intention is to seek for one’s own glory, the results will be compromised. The manifestation of faith is imperative to conquer God’s promises, but the intention of the heart must be in line with God’s view.

This is what makes all the difference.

You might be confused that you have given so much, yet received so little.  In this case I would like to suggest you make an evaluation of what the real intention is in your heart.

Your life is a result of what is in your heart.

7 Things Never To Forget

1. Raise your eyes — look at what God has prepared for you

2. Keep the vision  God will fulfill the dream He has given you when you make the right decisions

3. Do not use the Word of God in an improper manner to justify yourself — Do not conform. Do not use the Word of God in a negative way

4. Do not wait on anyone — Do not wait on others or look up to others! You cannot expect people to do what you have to do

5. There are no limits — everything is possible

6. Our Protection — is the fire of the presence of God around us

7. His Glory, the Holy Spirit, wants to be within us — God says, “I am with you until the end of times.”

That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Matthew 6:25-27 NLT
