Be Persistent; Your Enemy Is

Allo Mate! This post from one Bishop in my church really helped me, I believe it will help y’all as well.

They sent the same letter with the same content 4 times to Nehemiah asking him to leave Jerusalem and abandon, once and for all, the work of rebuilding the wall.

The same insistence is practiced with me and you, “leave the Altar, surround yourself to the things that you should not, give priority to what you should not.

He who knows how to prioritize, sees that all his responsibilities be met, all of them are in order, because he is disciplined. And what are our priorities? To be revolted, sufficiently courageous and persevering, that is, in short, to be living with INTELLIGENT FAITH, TO BE IN SPIRIT! And Nehemiah had these characteristics, so the devil wanted to take the “Altar” away from him.

“…that Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together among the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they thought to do me harm.” (Nehemiah 6:2)

It is the intention of the devil to do us harm! What is the greatest evil that the devil can do to you? Make you lose your Salvation, but before that, make you loose your Vision! How does this start? Through a lack of revolt, courage and perseverance, because the person may even have faith, but without revolt, this faith becomes dead.

“So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?” (Nehemiah 6:3)

In other words, Nehemiah was saying that nothing would make him leave the work he was doing, nothing would make him abandon the sacrifice, and much less pay attention to threats and accusations of evil. He had work to be completed. If the devil blows at you, it is up to you to rebuke him; if he tries, it is for you to humiliate him; if he raises a situation against you; you have to defeat him. Now, if the devil does not create anything, or does not try and doesn’t even fight you, then you should be worried because there is nothing bothering him.

One of the characteristics of the devil is persistence, as you can see in the case of Nehemiah. So if he tried to give up, tamper with, to look with an evil eye etc… do not think he will give up on you, because the devil never gives up! We can even let go of the devil, but he never leaves us or gives up on us, not while there is breath in our bodies! Take the example of the possessed Gadarene. The demons were sent into the pigs, but as soon as they drowned, where do you think the demons went? Straight into the swine-herdsmen, those who rejected the Lord Jesus!

The devil does not age and there is no time for him because he is a spirit. He knows that God searches hearts and minds. So, when he tempts us, we should always give the same answer:“YOU’RE TIED UP, IN JESUS NAME!!!”. And when he suggests something in your mind, simply, do exactly the opposite!

When God Told David “No”

Similar To My Recent Post About God Answering Us In A Way We Didn’t Expect

When Kind David had gained a measure of peace in his reign (most of the time during his kingship, Israel was at war with the neighbouring nations) the battles had settled down. It was time for him to think of other things. (2 Samuel 7:1-3)

A. David was embarrassed to think that he lived in a fine built house while God’s home remained in a tent.

B. It was David’s desire to build the Lord a permanent structure called a temple and told his plans to  Nathan the Prophet.

C. Nathan thought it a fine idea and seemed certain that God would support the effort, but as we later learn Nathan forgot one important thing: He forgot to ask God.

When we desire something, do we always put God above our desires? Are we sure that what we are asking is align to His will?

Later that night, the Lord…

How Important Is Water, Physically & Spiritually?

YO, YO YO! =D Sorry I haven’t posted in a week. I have been really busy with uni work, it’s my final year (YEAHYA)

Have you ever sat down and thought to yourself how important water is to your existence? Water might be everywhere, but a lot of the time, we take it for granted. I mean can the human body survive a day or two without water?

Well for your information, water makes up more than two thirds of human body weight, and without water, we would die in a few days. That’s right, YOU WILL DIE!

Water is vital to the functionality of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without petrol or electricity for the latest hybrid cars.

Some of the important things that water provides for us are:

(i) It serves as a lubricant to the digestion, joints & cartilage. (ii) Water regulates our body temperature. (iii) Water removes harmful toxins from the body in different ways e.g. urination and perspiration. (viii) Water transports valuable nutrients to the body.

Clearly, drinking water is essential to our survival as it provide so many essential benefits to our body. But how many of us know people or are guilty ourselves of not providing our body with it’s daily dose of water? Not just in the physical sense but spiritually as well?

Just like how water is so important to the physical body, the spiritual water that is the Word of God (the Bible) is vital to the survival of anyone who proclaims or wants to be a practicing Christian.

Some of the important things the Bible provides our soul with are:

(i) It reminds us of the truth that is the Lord Jesus & how significant His sacrifice is for our lives. (ii) It corrects us when we are in the wrong. (iii) It lifts us up & motivates us when we are down. (viii) It direct us when we are lost. (v) It cleanses us from the toxin that harm our soul e.g. doubts, fear, negative words against us, anxiety, pride, malice, grudges & all types of sin.

These benefits of reading the Bible are true, I for one know how I feel when I haven’t read my bible in a few days, my soul cries out for me to quench its thirst & overall spiritually I am more vulnerable to attack of the devil. Without the Word of God, any believer in the Lord Jesus will for sure die spiritually. Especially when our soul is being forced to drink the the toxin of this world that are lies, negative words, pornography etc…

Note – The quality of the water should be just as important as the quantity. Therefore, your drinking water should always be clean and free of contaminants to ensure proper health and wellness. Spiritually speaking, listen to words that will benefit you positively, keep yourself around people who speak and act positively & read things that will feed & strengthen your soul.

Quench the thirst of both your body and soul daily, or else suffer the consequences, which is death.

The Miracle Of Multiplication

This post from the Head Bishop of my church really encouraged me to trust in giving & challenging God in my offerings.

It is very common for people to ask themselves, “What am I going to do? My income is too low; it’s not enough to cover all my expenses!”

This is not only said by people who earn very little, it is also said by those who, in the eyes of many, earn a good income. Those who earn very little can barely survive on their income, let alone meet the needs of those around them. In some households, where more than one person works, all the incomes combined still aren’t enough.

But this is nothing new; we’re talking about a problem that can be traced far back in time. So how can you solve your financial problems once and for all?

Take a look at how the Lord Jesus enlightened a crowd of more than 5,000 people in the desert when they did not have food to eat:

Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat? But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.

Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.” One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barely loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”

Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise the fish, as much as they wanted.

So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. John 6.5-13 NKJV

When asked, Philip told Jesus that what they had was not enough for everyone. Isn’t this the same situation you are in?

However, when what they had was placed in the hands of the Lord Jesus, He multiplied it extraordinarily, in such a way that everyone ate and there was still an abundance of leftovers.

If the people had been told to leave, and each person had to buy their own food along the way or wait to get back home to eat, they still wouldn’t have eaten as much as they did in the desert.

We believe that the Lord Jesus was saying this to the disciples: “This is what you should do when a person places their offering on the Altar. It is your obligation to raise it to heaven and multiply it because you have received the authority to heal, deliver, administer baptism with the Holy Spirit and multiply, and the place where this is done makes no difference, even if it is in the desert.”

Therefore, all a person has to do is go to the nearest UCKG or your own church right now, look for a man of God and tell him: “I came here for you to multiply.” And this is what he will do, because he has the anointing to do so.

God bless you abundantly!

Needs & Wants

In order to turn into a good worker, boss, husband, wife, Christian, entrepreneur – whatever your function may be – you need to at least tend to the needs of those you serve. And if you want to be exceptional, you need to meet their wants.

Your parents, siblings, friends and partner expect certain things from you, but let’s give the example of a leader/manager at work.

Your manager expects certain things from you. He/she expects that you at least meet the needs of the position you hold. For example, if he hired you to sell the products and services of his business, he expects you to meet his goals, among other things. That means, there is a list of things you need to do well so you’re not fired.

However, besides what needs to be done, your manager has wishes. They are things which are not on your to-do list, that perhaps he/she doesn’t require of you, but wishes that you would do.outstanding-tl-2amsy5tFor example, try to get back a client who took his business elsewhere because of a company mistake. It’s not written that you should visit the client, hear him out, learn from the complaint, suggest changes to the company to avoid the same mistake, and offer the offended client some kind of compensation for the trouble and a reward for giving the company another chance.

But i’m sure if you do this your manager will be very grateful and impressed. You will become an exceptional employee, the kind that makes it through any downsizing.

That’s how it is with all those you serve. Your partner has needs. If you don’t want to lose your partner, the least you can do is attend to them. Now if you want to have a wonderful relationship, go beyond the needs. Exceed expectations. Meet their wishes.

The other side of the coin: you will only have what you wish you had from your partner when you give them the minimum of what he or she needs from you.

God Cannot Be Mocked

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:7 NKJV

This universal law of reaping what you plant is constantly being ignored by mankind. They plant laziness and want to reap success. They plant shyness and want to reap courage. They plant infidelity and want to reap justice. They do wrong and want to reap good.

How does that make sense? People sow bad seeds(action) and then are surprised when bad consequence come back to them. Sooner or later, whatever we invest in, whether good or bad, we will see the fruits of it in our lives.

Annoyingly, big offenders of this law are exactly the ones who supposedly believe in God. They think that because they are believers of Jesus, they don’t have to work as hard as unbelievers to achieve the best in life. They even sometimes think that because they’re believers of Jesus Christ, they are exempt from the consequences of their mistakes:

“God forgives,” “God understands,” “God is merciful,” “God does the impossible” “God is in control” “God please don’t ‘Blah Blah Blah’ Because ‘Blah Blah Blah’ “

They should read their Bible more, especially these verses:

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants. Psalm 89:14 NLT

God is a just judge, And God is angry with the wicked every day. Psalm 7:11 NKJV

God doesn’t give you your heart desire while your chillaxing and not working hard to achieve it. He definetly doesn’t allow us to escape the repercussions of our good or bad actions, especially when a person is mocking Him.

There’s no worst mocker than those who say they believe in God but don’t give a glimmer of attention to His laws.

Be careful with what you sow.
