You’re The Boss Of Your Life!

Yo People! I just read this and got an injection of motivation, strength & a reminder of who is really in charge of the outcome of my life, or in your case, your own life, keep reading…

Let me ask you to take a seat in a comfortable chair. Take off your shoes. Rest your elbows on your knees and your chin on your hands. Look carefully at your toes. Choose one foot and tell your big toe to move. It moved, didn’t it? Conclusion: you’re the boss.

Now look at your hands. Tell your thumb to touch your pinky. What happened? It obeyed, right? Conclusion: you’re the boss.

Now tell your body to stand up. And? How wonderful, it obeyed your command. Conclusion: you’re the boss.

Stretch out your arm and grab something within your reach. See? You didn’t even have to say it out loud. Your body obeyed your command. Conclusion: you’re the boss.

Now tell your body to go get a particular object in another room in the house. I don’t believe that stretching your arm will be enough. But, just give your legs a command and the problem will be solved. Conclusion: you’re the boss.

Now think about a difficult situation that you want to overcome. Now then, tell your body to take the necessary actions to make that wish come true… go on, be strong!

Right now you must be asking yourself, “But how? I don’t understand… How can I do that?”

You don’t understand how your finger obeyed your voice or your arm followed your command either… but the truth is, you gave them an order and they obeyed.

Don’t limit yourself. You are powerful. Remember, you’re the boss.

I thank you in advance for refusing to remain seated with your elbows on your knees as if changing your life depended on someone else. Now you know why you were born.

God bless you! Best regards,

Doctor César Ribeiro

The Banker & The Beggars

Hello Ladies & Gents! Have a read of this story and tell me what you think….

One afternoon, a famous banker was going home in his “limo” and saw two men on the side of the road eating grass.

He ordered his driver to stop, stepped out of the limo and asked one of the men:

– Why are you eating grass?

– We don’t have money to buy food, so we have to eat grass – said the poor man.

– Come to my house and I will give you food – said the banker.

– Thank you, but I have a wife and two children. They’re over there, under that tree.

– Bring them too – said the banker again.

And, turning to the other man, he said:

– You can also come.

With a very faint voice, the second man said:

– But sir, I have a wife and six children!

– They can come too – said the banker.

They all climbed into the huge, luxurious car.

Once they were on their way, one of the men shyly looked at the banker and said:

– You are a very good man… Thank you for bringing all of us!

The banker replied:

– My dear friend, don’t be ashamed, I’m glad to help! You’re going to love my house….. the grass is almost 10 inches tall!

This is exactly what the devil does to people. He has resources and wealth, so he constantly tries to “hook up” the unwary, desperate & lost, making it seem like love, charity and compassion, when in reality he is just trying to enslave them, destroy them and kill them.

Those who allow themselves to be guided by the constantly wavering & deceitful feelings of their heart are exactly the same, while feeding on the “grass” of this world they are drawn in and carried away into eternal torment in so called fame, luxury, stability etc… without even realizing what they are really getting themselves into.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. John 10:10 NKJV

The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV

The devil really is sneaky. Be Aware & Cautious!

The Food of Champions

1 Samuel 17:1-58 (32)
And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

Life is likened to a hundred-metre hurdle race where you need to fly over at every stage to win. Those hurdles are the “challenges”, and no matter how sweet life may be, these hurdles are inevitable.

Who are your Goliaths? They are those obstacles and evil voices crying against you. Your Goliath is that person who will always want to dominate and oppress you as a slave all your life. Hmm.. The Philistines Spirit! Goliath boasted (v. 8) and the Israelites were so afraid. But! David arose and asked for the price (v. 26). Friend, when faced with challenges, you need to know the price to gain and what you’re laboured with, if you quit.

In v.28, His elder brother tried…

A Professional Christian

Good Day All, The Picture Of My Favourite Footballer, The Legend That Is STEVEN GERRARD Will Make Sense At The End.

I just finished reading 1 Timothy 1:3-10, Paul was telling Timothy to stop those who were amongst the new converts in Ephesus trying to teach other doctrines, theories & interpretations of the Gospel. Why? Because it was not helping the new converts, but was only bringing about confusion and disputes.

From this I learned that the devil has been and will always try his best to confuse Christians from obeying the clear direction of God on how to live our lives in a way that pleases Him, especially in the midst so called believers. When you get time, have a read. Through this, God reminded me of a fact:

Not everyone who claims to go to church or bible studies, claim to have a relationship with God, claim to know God, claim to have been baptized or may even have a title in a church as a usher, a leader, prayer warrior, evangelist or even a Pastor is a CHRISTIAN.

I can’t remember where in the bible but I’m sure it says that the God of the bible is not a God of confusion. The devil unfortunately for years and years has been confusing Christians & believers with crazy interpretations of the bible and theories, that have only lead to many people claiming to be “Christians” when they are not. The bible clearly states & when you use your head to think, it makes sense that:

Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Romans 8:9 NKJV

If you still don’t get it, let me use this analogy to illustrate my point:

Practicing Christians are a like professional football players. How? Well to have the title of a professional footballer, they must go through a process:

They probably started playing for fun when they were young (Sunday School/Youth Group),

then joined a team (Joined A Group In The Church),

listened to the instructions and tactics in training (Listened To The Messages In Church Services),

most probably made a lot of mistake at first but worked hard to learn from them and got better (Fell Into Temptation, Sinned; But Got Up, Got Baptized, Kept Moving Forward & Was Most Probably Persecuted Because Of Their Faith),

practiced outside of training (Used Their Faith In The Word Of God & Practice What They Learned In Church in their life etc…),

started to see developments, got better & people started to notice their progress (Their Strong Relationship With God Becomes Evident Not Just To Themselves But To Others),

and before you knew it they were being scouted and got signed to a professional team (They Received The Holy Spirit, Experiencing The New Birth & Even Be Called To Do More In The Work Of God).

They got the shirt of the football club they represent with their name on it (Name Written In The Book Of Life), got their money (Life & Life more abundantly) and all the other benefits and stresses of being a professional footballer (The Narrow Way That Leads To Life).

THEY MADE IT! The Person Can Call themselves A Professional Footballers, or in the case of a believer in the bible, a Professional Christian, Right?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25 NKJV

It just baffles me that with these verses in their faces, believers still go about interpreting the bible in their own way, disputing and confusing other to believe their theory. Which is clearly going against the Word of God.

May God help us all.

P.S. I am not saying Steven Gerrard is a Christian or a believer, I’m just using him as an example of a professional footballer. I used him because he is a LEGEND and I support Liverpool FC.

I did my part is speaking, Now you do your part in telling a friend about my blog by sharing it. Thanks =D

A Christian’s Conduct || How Important It Really Is

Allo Mate! Hope All Is Well, Here Is Another Post From One Of The Bishops In My Church. Pay Close Attention, All Christians & Believers of the God of the Bible!

Have you ever thought to yourself that some people in their lifetime may never read the bible, go to church, pray or believe in life after death. Meaning our character, conduct, attitude towards life, actions etc… may be the main reference toward them wanting or having a relationship with the God we say we serve!

But the lord answered and said to him, You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. Matthew 25.26

Why didn’t this servant multiply his talent? Why were the others able to multiply their talents, but he didn’t? This is when I realized what Jesus said: “wicked servant”. Not only was he negligent, but he was also BAD.

How could he save others if he was lost? Many have a BAD character, have been a BAD husband, a BAD wife, a BAD son, a BAD employee, a BAD boss, a BAD student. So how could this person convince others that Jesus is good?

I believe here lays one of the greatest letdowns of many Christians; their BAD examples have prevented people from wanting to seek God, and this includes their own family members.

If we want to save others, we have to show them why it is worth it to follow Jesus, we have to show how good it is, we have to exhale the GOOD fragrance of Christ. This is why our testimony is necessary, because the people around us know who we were before Christ and who we are after Him, and this helps us multiply our talents.

We have to be a GOOD example to everyone, because our example speaks louder than our words. Who does not like what is good? Everyone wants to have a GOOD husband, a GOOD father, a GOOD employee, a GOOD wife, a GOOD son; in other words, everyone loves and wants what is GOOD.

The first two servants were called GOOD. They had a GOOD testimony with the people that surrounded them and with Jesus Himself. Therefore, the question remains:

How has God and those around us seen us, GOOD or BAD servants?

The Quiet Department In Heaven

U Oright Guys & Girls? Have a read of this very interesting story that one of the Bishops from my church posted in our weekly magazine a few weeks ago.

A certain man died and went to heaven. He was then granted a chance to go round God’s premises, and the angel Gabriel showed him around.

They entered the first department, a very big hall where so many angels (in their millions) were busy sorting letters.

The man was surprised and asked in amusement, “What are they doing?”

Gabriel answered, “They are sorting letters of prayer requests according to their categories, for people who are sick, seeking jobs, need deliverance, for divine intervention, etc.” They moved into the next department where they saw almost the same set-up, but this time, the angels were packing letters into boxes and sealing them.

Again, the man asked what they were doing and the angel told him that they were sealing God’s letter in reply to the request made by people on earth for healing, jobs, and so on. Lastly, they went to the last department where they saw only one man sitting and dozing with nothing much to do.

This time, the man asked the angel slowly, “Why is this man sitting here?” Gabriel turned and looked at the man, “This department is not always as busy as the other ones. The angel here is supposed to be receiving letters of thanksgiving from people on earth who have received their replies of blessing, healing from God, but none of them seem to remember where their blessings came from. That is why this department has only one man to take care of all the duties, and he is never busy, that’s why you see him dozing.”

What has God done for you? How many answers to your requests have you received? How many obstacles have you overcome? In how many wars of life did you find yourself a victor? Do you give thanks to God?

We should by all means keep the other departments busy as well, at the end of the day, it was God Himself who told us to ask— and we’ll indeed keep on asking so we can glorify Him.

However, let’s all give Him thanks always, and the best way to do that is not ONLY by making a prayer of thanksgiving, but more importantly, by sharing our testimonies and good news with everyone we know.

Let’s evangelise. Let’s save souls. Let’s multiply our talents. May God bless you abundantly.

How To Prove That God Isn’t Dead

Allo Mate, How U Doin? It’s the 1st of the last month of the year. Time has definetly flown by. It’s Also The Month Of My Birth =D

I Watched A Great Film Yesterday Called: God’s Not Dead. If U Ain’t Watched It Yet, Watch It! And encourage those that are atheist to have a look as well. I’m sure they will enjoy it as it ain’t really cheesy like a few Christian films already out there lol that’s just my opinion.

Without revealing too much, three key scenes stood out for me, one of the question asked to a journalist who didn’t believe in God was this: “What do you put your hope in?”

This reminded me that we all choose to hope in something, whether that be a single God, gods, no gods, animals, aliens etc… and we should all respect each others choice of hope.

I personally was thinking while watching it that I would have chosen a different way to prove that God isn’t dead. I would testified of how my life was and how it has been since I received the Holy Spirit, and then I would demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit through prayer as Jesus and the apostle did in the past.

If you didn’t know, the baptism with the Holy Spirit has a main objective which is to enable the disciples of now and the future to be living witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ on Earth.

Those who sought and received the baptism with the Holy Spirit are chosen by God to bear witness of the resurrection of His Son Jesus.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1.8 NKJV

So how does a person bear witness of God & His son who was born, lived, died, resurrected and ascended to Heaven 2,000 years ago?

By receiving the same Spirit He received from God, by using it’s power to be a blessing & by using it’s power to bless others, just like Jesus did.

Now, Go watch the film.
