The Drinking Game

Who are the people who are always crying the blues?
Who do you know who reeks of self-pity?
Who keeps getting beat up for no reason at all?
Whose eyes are bleary and bloodshot?
It’s those who spend the night with a bottle,
for whom drinking is serious business.
Don’t judge wine by its label,
or its bouquet, or its full-bodied flavor.
Judge it rather by the hangover it leaves you with—
the splitting headache, the queasy stomach.
Do you really prefer seeing double,
    with your speech all slurred,
Reeling and seasick,
    drunk as a sailor?
“They hit me,” you’ll say, “but it didn’t hurt;
they beat on me, but I didn’t feel a thing.
When I’m sober enough to manage it,
bring me another drink!” Proverbs 23:29-35 The Message

3 Steps to Success

“With our mind we conceive, with our 6th Sense we believe and through sacrifice we achieve.”

Everything is born in the mind … with it we imagine what we want to do or be in life. The house we want to live in, the person we want to marry, even the children we want have. We even imagine, down to the simplest detail, how they’ll be physically…

The big problem is that, the vast majority of people don’t progress beyond this stage. They live life fantasizing, longing, yearning desperately for a reality that never comes…

But why is this? Because they merely conceive with their mind, but don’t believe nor use their 6th Sense…much less sacrifice!

At the end of the day, there’s no other way around it … since the dawn of humanity, nothing has ever come to pass without these three steps; and none of your dreams will come true unless you do the same.

Do you want to transform a dream into reality? Analyse yourself. At what level are you? Once you figure that out, follow the three steps to success!

Are You Standing?

shadrach meshach abednego stand

Problems, injustice and persecutions are inevitable, but when God dwells within us through the Holy Spirit, joy and love are permanent. Regardless of the people around you, the circumstances, what you have or no longer have, where you are or where you aren’t, within you you have that security, strength and joy that surpasses all else.

The joy of graduating, getting married, becoming a father/mother, walking into the home of your dreams, the pleasure of working, paying off your debts, enjoying yourself, walking your daughter up the aisle dressed in white, seeing your son standing before the altar awaiting his bride … all these things bring wonderful joy, but none of them exceed the joy of salvation, and of being the temple of Holy Spirit.

When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were arrested and threatened to be thrown into the fiery furnace, as they refused to bow before the golden image of Nebuchadnezzar, what caused them to react in the following way?:

If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver usfrom your hand, O king.” (Daniel 3:17)

Now that’s boldness, courage and confidence, is it not?!? What about you? Do you have this joy, this boldness, this confidence, when, within you, you have the greatest wealth that a human being can achieve. You have the greatest joy that a human being can have, that is the joy of salvation, the joy of the Holy Spirit?

But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” (Dan. 3:18)

So, when someone has the joy of God within them, they know that the furnaces of this life are inevitable – problems, difficulties, injustice, persecution and disappointments – but they don’t bow down!

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were faithful to God and now they were being condemned to a fiery furnace, but even so, they didn’t bend. What does this mean? It means that those who have the joy of salvation never bend, never give in to the pleasures of this life, nor to the images of pornography, or adultery … of course they’re tempted, which is an excellent sign, it shows they’re walking with God. Nevertheless, the devil wants them to fall into temptation, to keep them down, making them feel guilty, condemned, weak…

Remember that you may be tempted or harassed, but don’t fall, deny, doubt or quit on your faith. You’re being tempted because God wants you to prove that you’re His servant, and not your own or the devil’s. Do I have desires? Yes! Do I have needs? Yes! Am I weak? Yes, but God is strong! Those who have the joy of salvation don’t sell themselves out to a lie. They may be tempted to lie, steal, deny their faith, even knowing that they will be severely criticized, wronged and persecuted.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego knew that if they didn’t bow down to the image, the king would tell his servants to cast them into the burning fiery furnace, but they didn’t care. They king could kill their physical bodies, but not their souls, because they were saved and belonged to God. They could touch their garments, but not their spirit, because they were strong through the joy that they had within themselves – the joy of salvation, that their names were written in the Book of Life .

When someone has the joy of salvation, no matter the circumstances, they remain steadfast, faithful, they do not bend, nor do they sell themselves out to idolatry or traditions in order to please family or friends. He does not compromise the joy of salvation, which was bought with the blood of Jesus, even though denying his will to do God’s may cost him dearly. He’s not crazy!

The whole nation fell on their knees, all but three men remained standing, including Daniel. They assumed their Faith! Those who have the joy of salvation stand firm. You can have money, fame, health, children, everything … but if you don’t have the joy of salvation, then, you are fallen. Even if you have nothing or no one, if you have the joy of salvation, you stand firm. And the Lord Jesus is right beside you, because the Holy Spirit is already within you. He gives you this joy.

MUSCLEMANIA #3 || Progress In My Training

Its been 5 weeks since I started bodybuilding and strength training again, after 4 months off during the summer.

At the start I showed y’all my stats:

Right Arm: 13.8 Inches(Straight) 16 Inches(Tensed)

Left  Arm: 13.2 Inches(Straight) 15.8 Inches(Tensed)

Forearms: 12 Inches

Chest: 38 Inches

Waist: 31.5 Inches

Hips: 37.8 Inches

Thighs: 23.2 Inches

Calves: 15.5 Inches

Well 5 weeks later, I am happy to say i have made some gains. Considering my diet has not been at the level that I want it to be, I’m happy with this small progression:

Right Arm: 14.5 Inches(Straight) 16.4 Inches(Tensed)

Left  Arm: 14.4 Inches(Straight) 16 Inches(Tensed)

Forearms: 12.1 Inches

Chest: 40 Inches

Waist: 31 Inches

Hips: 34 Inches

Thighs: 23.5 Inches

Calves: 15.8 Inches

I’m happy that I have gained in my arms & chest; I have lost weight in my waist & hips. Like I said my diet hasn’t been the best but I will sort that out ASAP. My Goal of getting to 95kg by May is very likely as I weigh 84kg now.

Me & Magic have got another 7 weeks left in our training cycle, I’m sure i’ll be 87kg by then =D

Blame GOD!

People ruin their lives by their own stupidity, so why does God always get blamed? Proverbs 19:3 The Message

Don’t you find it annoying when someone makes a mistake or get themselves into trouble and then are sooo swift to put the blame on someone else & even God. The person has the choice to either cheat on their partner or resist the temptation; they choose to fall into the temptation and then the cliche phrase arises “It wasn’t my fault!”.

The person has the choice to either go out and find a job or make a job for themselves or rob someone or a shop with their so called friends; they end up going to steal and get caught, once again the cliche phrase arises “I was influenced by my friends”.

The person sees  colleague of theirs doing well in life but they are still stuck in the same what-less cycle of hardcore partying & drinking, nonsense relationship and border line poverty; AGAIN they manage to come to the conclusion “It’s not my fault i’m in this situation, if God was loving and caring, He would help me & prevent this from happening to me”. THE CHEEEEEEEK!

Common sense is lacking OH so much these days…

YOU & only YOU have the power to decide where YOU will end up in life. God speaks but so does the devil; YOU decide who YOU will listen to and based YOUR actions on.

Have you realized, when YOU point the finger to blame; YOU have 3 fingers pointing back at YOURSELF!

Don’t let anyone under pressure to give in to evil say, “God is trying to trip me up.” God is impervious to evil, and puts evil in no one’s way. The temptation to give in to evil comes from us and only us. We have no one to blame but the leering, seducing flare-up of our own lust. James 1:13-14 The Message

Wise Celebrating

One day a wise man was at the docks, watching the ships enter and leave. He noticed that when a ship went out to sea, everyone on the pier celebrated and wished the crew a pleasant journey; but when another would arrive from sea, the crowd would ignore it.

The wise man then addressed the people, saying: “You’re looking at things the wrong way! When a ship goes out to sea, no one knows what lies ahead of it, nor whether it’ll return. So, really, there is no reason to celebrate. On the other hand, when a ship returns to harbour and arrives home safely, is this not a reason to celebrate?!”

Life is a journey and we are the ship. When a child is born, we celebrate. When a soul returns home, we mourn. But if we look at life on earth just as the wise man looked at the ship, perhaps we would say: “The ship has faced the storms of life, has ended its journey and finally entered the harbour.”

Life is a journey, long for some, short for others, but the what’s important is that the journey is made. For this, you must embark on this journey knowing exactly where you are going and not just head ‘somewhere’. The map is within you – it is called ‘goals’.

If you can dream it; you can achieve it!

Illness of the Spirit

“The positive define their goals, the negative define their own limits.”

The worst disease that exists is that of the spirit. A negative person isn’t strong enough to define their own objectives, thus giving more importance to their limits. Every human being can get to where their vision takes them, but everything that is achieved depends heavily on the quality of a person’s thoughts.

A negative person sees obstacles even where there aren’t any, and is easily shaken up by fear. Fear prevents a person from acting. Even when knowing what to do, fear will inhibit the person from applying all their strength into something. Doubts, fears and discouragement will prevent them from advancing.

When a person is positive, they progress. They don’t look at the circumstances around them, instead, they clearly define their objectives. They live, daily, with a set goal for their life and never cross their arms until it is achieved. They have a victorious, optimistic and conquering spirit.

Don’t let your hands become weak in any way. Define your goals, because after you reach them, you’ll see that all the effort was worth it.
