Being a Christian is far from easy
The Lord Jesus said, narrow is the way that leads to life and few find it. If He said it’s hard already, how do we as Christians make it even harder?
We make it even harder by proclaiming to be on the Lord side but LIVING IN SIN.
Since we as Christians are not apart of this world, we still must live in it, we still have to live in this flesh/body that is a slave to the devil’s will since Adam & Eve gave him the authority over it. So we are prone to make mistakes and sin every now and again naturally, as much as we all may wish and try to be perfect, we can never do it, we will sin, it is INEVITABLE.
But that doesn’t mean we have to accept that sin i.e. Lying, Envy, Bad Thoughts towards other, Hate, Impatient, Anxiety, Fornication, Lusts, Vulgar Words, Idolatry, Temper Tantrums etc.. and therefore live in it like those who don’t believe in God.
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1 NKJV
God knows that we will make mistakes and sin and for this He offers us the solution of confessing our sins to Him, acknowledging that our action was wrong in His eyes and repenting. I will suggest you find out the real meaning of the word Confess, Acknowledging & Repenting, as many nowadays think they are confessing their sins when they actually are not, many think they are acknowledging their sin but they are not and many think they are repenting when they are actually just being remorseful.
When we don’t confess our sin and repent, we feel burdened and accused by the devil! FACT!
If we continue with this sin weighing us down, we make this already hard marathon, harder. The longer we live in that sin and don’t confess and repent it to God, the weaker we becomes, the harder this marathon becomes and more likely than not, we will end up giving up. So let’s avoid this by confessing our sins, as soon as we commit it, with a sincere desire to not do it and and change.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. 1 John 1:8-10 NKJV
Even if you don’t feel like confessing it, remember: The Just Shall Live By Faith. We as Christian do not live by feelings but by faith in the Word of God.
Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away. Hebrews 10:36-38 NLT
I Pray God give you and me strength to keep going til the end, in Jesus name, AMEN.
