Passion for Saving Soul

“The works of the Lord are great, sought out by all who have pleasure in them.” Psalms 111:2 MEV

I really believe in this verse! Truly in those who have had a true experience with God, in those who are born of God and in those who have the Holy Spirit, was placed a desire inside to seek & most importantly do the Lord’s works.

These people don’t ignore this desire, they cultivate and act upon it, because they know the pleasure they get from doing it doesn’t come from man, it comes directly from God; also they know that God sees their efforts & their reward will come from Him.

With that being said I invite you all to attend my church’s Good Friday mega event @ 3pm. If you are in London there are many branches to pick from by clicking on this link; but i’ll love for you to attend my branch in:

UCKG Edmonton

I can speak for myself that indeed doing His works i.e. Visits to the hospital & homes, Evangalism, Healing the sick, Encouraging the poor in spirit etc… are GREAT as the bible says, because God Himself is GREAT and everything associated with Him is GREAT i.e. the Sun, the other Stars, the Moon, the Earth, Joy, Happiness, Laughter, Humans and Animals etc…

Personally, I don’t need a man or a spiritual authority to tell me to do His works, it’s this desire that He placed inside of me that ALWAYS drives me to think, “What can I do to execute God’s works more effectively today?”

This is the importance of seeking to have a true encounter/experience with God, because without it, this desire will never be placed inside. I can also confirm that until I had my experience with God, there was no real desire for God’s work, everything I did was forced & a burden.

The Intention

“So, seeing that you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that you may excel to the edifying of the church.” 1 Corinthians 14:12 MEV

We have to examine ourselves as to why we want certain things from God, e.g. His Spirit, A Revival, A Specific Blessing etc… because what I got from this verse is that if it’s not for the sake of adding to God’s work, it’s is for selfish purposes.

Many have a zeal for God but still have a mind that hasn’t been transformed by God, they don’t meditate on the Word of God to know what is His will; so when they do something in the church, they are not doing it with the right intentions.

They really want the Holy Spirit but not with the intention to help the kingdom of God grow, and for that reason they end up getting frustrated in their faith because they see their efforts are not being rewarded.

If we want anything spiritual from God, we must be willing to show God not just by words and even actions, but by checking our heart and mind to see what our true intentions are and if they are in line with God’s will.

How do we know and understand God’s will? By meditating on His Word.

Our Role As Evangalists

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:44 NKJV

Many times over the past 9 years of being in God’s presence, I have invited people to come to church to receive what I have been receiving from God & in turn be blessed like I have.

And I can say, that many times, especially in the first years of me being in God’s presence, people disappointed me by not coming. This many times then lead to me doubting if God was with me, worrying about the opinions of other & anger at the individuals for not being honest to me.

Then one day I came across the verse above & it settled my doubts and behavior towards evangelism forever. This lead me to realize that it’s not by my eloquent words, my charisma or strength that people will come to accept the Lord Jesus; but it God the Father Himself who permits when a person will enter into His presence.

The burden of thoughts like, “If people don’t come to church because of my evangelism, it’s because I’m not of God & I’m failing as an evangelist”, was removed. God lead me to understand that all I am is a point of reference or a microphone for Him to use to speak to souls about Him, He is the one who will convince them and cause them to come to His presence when He see they are ready.

My role is just to place myself available for Him to use, the rest is in His hands. I believe many evangelists either still have or had this demonic lie in their mind once upon a time.

Which probably even lead to them not wanting to evangelize, but God is now telling you, through His word & His servant: FOCUS on your role of SPEAKING about God; don’t FOCUS on how and when the soul will transform and become of God.

The following verse in my opinion is an anxiety & doubts destroyer:

It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” John 6:45 NKJV

God’s Deputy Authority

“I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true.” John5:30-31NKJV

Jesus was God the Father’s deputy Authority.

These verses for me are very very deep. The Leader of the Christian faith, our Lord & Saviour, the One who shocked & influenced the world forever; Himself admitted that by Himself, a human, He could do nothing.

I don’t want to list it, but if you’re interested, look up how this Man has influence the world we live in today. Yet, He admitted that He was not able to achieve this by His own merits, talents and strength.

The Lord Jesus had a Source to His power & works; the Lord Jesus was simply a Resource.

The Lord Jesus had an Authority over Him; the Lord Jesus was simply a deputy Authority.

The Lord Jesus didn’t need or depend on his own approval or human’s approval; the Lord Jesus had God the Father as His Approval & Vindication.

I am currently reading a book called “Authority & Submission” by Watchman Nee. This book has blessed me & taught me a lot, more specifically, I understand more the concept of Authority in the world.

I’m going to do a blog series based upon what I have learnt from this book when I am done reading it. I believe that the more people who understand that ALL AUTHORITY comes from GOD, the more the work of God worldwide can develop, and in turn, quicken the return of the Lord Jesus.

My sincere advice to anyone who wants to do the work of God properly and effectively, get this book.

Ignorance About Jesus & The Holy Spirit

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. John‬ ‭4:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Many people don’t know about the gift of God, Holy Spirit (which is ridiculous), and they don’t know Jesus Himself either!

Many think they know Him because they go to church and have heard many messages about Him, but think with me, we hear a lot about many celebrities nowadays via social media, does that give us the right to say we KNOW them personally?

Jesus was clear to this woman, and is clear to us through this verse that the reason a person hasn’t been saved & been baptized with the Holy Spirit (which is essential) is because people haven’t made the effort to first of all: Get to know Jesus personally – via daily meditation of the Bible, listening to the direction of God through His appointed authorities & above all putting all the knowledge they have received into practice; and many haven’t sought to understand the characteristics of the Holy Spirit – via meditation of the Gospels, book of Galatians and book written by authorities of God talking about the Holy Spirit.

Instead, they are like this woman, using their efforts and time to constantly question & even undermines Jesus & His abilities:

The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock? John‬ ‭4:11-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

They see & treat Jesus as a common man with limits, and question Him every time He give them a direction through His word, His authorities & their mind. Until people in the presence of God & those who are lost in the world humble themselves before God, they will miss out on the fulfillment and benefits of being baptized with the Holy Spirit:

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. ‭‭John‬ ‭4:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Overwhelming Pressure Of LUST

Now David’s son Absalom had a beautiful sister named Tamar. And Amnon, her half brother, fell desperately in love with her. Amnon became so obsessed with Tamar that he became ill. She was a virgin, and Amnon thought he could never have her. 2 Samuel 13:1-2 NLT

Amnon here faced a situation that MANY, if not ALL of us have experienced once upon a time; a strong attraction or in blunt terms, LUST for someone who is out of our reach. It wasn’t rational for him to desire his half sister, full stop.

Let’s see what he ended up doing:

But Amnon had a very crafty friend—his cousin Jonadab. He was the son of David’s brother Shimea. One day Jonadab said to Amnon, “What’s the trouble? Why should the son of a king look so dejected morning after morning?” So Amnon told him, “I am in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

“Well,” Jonadab said, “I’ll tell you what to do. Go back to bed and pretend you are ill. When your father comes to see you, ask him to let Tamar come and prepare some food for you. Tell him you’ll feel better if she prepares it as you watch and feeds you with her own hands.” So Amnon lay down and pretended to be sick. 2 Samuel 13:3-6 NLT

It’s interesting to see that the same spirit that worked all those years ago, using Jonadab (family/friends) to “advise/suggest” a solution, still works today. What’s the most frustrating part of all is what Amnon did:

Then he said to Tamar, “Now bring the food into my bedroom and feed it to me here.” So Tamar took his favorite dish to him. But as she was feeding him, he grabbed her and demanded, “Come to bed with me, my darling sister. No, my brother!” she cried. “Don’t be foolish! Don’t do this to me! Such wicked things aren’t done in Israel. Where could I go in my shame? And you would be called one of the greatest fools in Israel. Please, just speak to the king about it, and he will let you marry me.”

But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her, and since he was stronger than she was, he raped her. Then suddenly Amnon’s love turned to hate, and he hated her even more than he had loved her. “Get out of here!” he snarled at her. “No, no!” Tamar cried. “Sending me away now is worse than what you’ve already done to me.” But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her. He shouted for his servant and demanded, “Throw this woman out, and lock the door behind her!” 2 Samuel 13:10-17 NLT

Now, was Amnon REALLY in love with Tamar? Was the “advice/suggestion” of Jonadeb REALLY coming from a place of good intention?

As Christians and believers, we must realise the difference between the love God created and the lust created by the devil; because MANY believers since the creation of the human race have fallen and done disastrous things to jeopardise there salvation due to lack of understanding.

Love suffers long and is kind; love envies not; love flaunts not itself and is not puffed up, does not behave itself improperly, seeks not its own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;  rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never fails. I Corinthians 13:4-8 MEV

Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. I John 4:8 MEV

  • Love is patient; Lust rushes things.
  • Love cares; Lust despises.
  • Love doesn’t end; Lust is short lived.
  • Love is rational actions; Lust is emotional actions.

Inevitable Hurdles

Then the people of the land tried to discourage the people of Judah. They troubled them in building, and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia. In the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, they wrote an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem. Ezra 4:4-6 NKJV

When you have a chance, go and meditate over the Book of Ezra. Here we have the inevitable reaction of the devil and his demons, through people, that don’t want us to excel, succeed and above all, do the Work of God.

The moment God inspire a person/people to do something that will exalt Him, the devil is swift to get involved. Here he used the Samaritan (after there help was respectfully declined by the Israelites) to discourage, frustrate, persecute, slander and consequently cease the building of the Second Temple of God for about 16 years.

How does that apply to us nowadays?

Every time God inspires us with a dream, how quickly does the devil bombard us with many words and thoughts of doubts? He use friends, family, celebrities, feelings, science, the media etc… to discourage us; he usually does this right at the beginning stage of the process to effectively kill the dream before it has even begun. What’s more of a shame is when we have actually started but we give up due to the hurdles placed before us by satan.

Understand this: there will always be hurdles in you way to reach your destination. Successful people didn’t become a success by not having hurdles in front of them; they became a success by overcoming them.

Didn’t the second temple get built eventually and God’s prophecy and purpose get fulfilled in the end?

Here I am to appeal to your reason, your intelligence and above all your faith:

  1. Is God ever wrong?
  2. Do you really think He is capable of making mistakes?
  3. Did He give you this dream just for fun and for you to just think about it but not take actions?

Remember what He spoke through Wise King Solomon & the Apostle Paul:

Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride. Ecclesiastes 7:8 NLT;

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 NLT

Feelings!? What’s That!!

Think Faith!!

God Bless You
