“Those who are not able to lead themselves first, are not able to lead others, because of the lack of self-discipline.”
There is no person under more scrutiny than the one who’s leading. But what do we observe in these people? Basically, their example. Yes, we, as humans, have a tendency to look at them for clues that they are somehow, “better than us.”
But in what way better? In their conduct, attitudes, the posture they display towards life, and the way they deal with problems. In other words, we try to see people who are able to lead themselves first, remaining faithful to their code of conduct, because only then will they prove that they are reliable, and show credibility towards themselves, those whom they lead, and society in general.
This is what good leaders are made of! They are people who are able to lead themselves first, in other words, their core is made of self-discipline, and that’s where their strength comes from. Do you want to be a good leader? Start by leading yourself, be self-discipline, and you will automatically become a leader!
